Last fact-checked: September 2026
Sok San Beach, often called Long Beach, stretches for more than 7 kilometers along the west coast of Koh Rong. With very soft white sand, few people and the best sunsets on the island, it is the place to go for space and quiet.
Getting there
- By road: About 30 minutes by scooter or taxi from Koh Touch on the new concrete road.
- By ferry: Some fast ferries from Sihanoukville stop at Sok San (30-60 minutes). Sok San Beach Resort also runs its own speedboat for guests.

What to do
- Sunset: Sok San faces west, so the sun sets over the sea. The seafood restaurants on the sand at the north end are ideal for dinner.
- Fishing village: Sok San village at the north end of the beach is still home to fishing families.
- Waterfall: Varisan Nureach Waterfall is a 5-10 minute walk along the river from the village. It has the most water in the rainy season.
- Long walks: The middle and southern stretches are wide, empty and perfect for long walks.
Where to stay and eat
Sok San Beach Resort is the largest place to stay, with rooms and villas, restaurants and activities. Smaller guesthouses are in the village. For dinner, The Moon is known for fresh seafood on the beach.
Good to know
